Who Is It For?
This is an innovative and a unique personal development workshop for Children and Young Adults. The essential aim of the workshop is finding out about you, using The Mirror Challenge for Children and Young Adults™ programme developed by PLM Development Services.
We need to keep on learning about ourselves and others. Participants need to question themselves. It makes sense, every once in a while to step back from day to day activities and ask yourself – Who I am? What am I doing? Where am I? Where am I going? How am I doing? Where do I need to make changes?
We also need to challenge young minds, break down stereotypes and challenge cultural mindsets. The programme is about shaping leaders for tomorrow. Participants need to continue to enhance their self-presentation and communication skills as individuals.
Aims:
There are a number of challenges and changes facing children and young people today. The programme aims to help Children and Young Adults to build and enhance their self-esteem and self-confidence. The workshop aims at improving an individual’s motivation and attitudes towards education and for them to increase their learning independently. For participants, to develop a positive attitude towards the pursuance of goals and a healthy desire towards achieving success in all areas of their lives. For Children and Young Adults to be ambitious in the right way as well as to see the importance of educational and personal achievement.
This programme provides an opportunity for individuals to think and plan for the future in a safe environment. Participants will be provided with an opportunity to plan and prepare for new directions and possibilities. It also aims to assist them in making informed choices and decisions and to take actions to proactively develop themselves.
The programme works with individuals and teams to identify and set achievable personal goals and steps they need to take to achieve them. It aims to assist Children and Young Adults in accepting self-responsibility for their behaviours and actions.
The key messages of The Mirror Challenge for Children and Young Adults™ include the following:
The more you look in the mirror, the more you will find out about yourself.
So, here’s to looking in the Mirror, taking action, and making those changes.
‘The power of The MIRROR Challenge lies in its simplicity’
